Welcome to Miles Over Jupiter! I created this Blog as a tool in which to document life in a time of constant change. It shall document of places traveled and much of the state of mind during. I can offer updates only at times of reunion with society, but fear not because the shear gravity of each post will carry you through the times of loneliness and longing. So open your mind to the not so traveled paths of life and don’t leave without adding some form of thought or experience of your own!

So the road trip so far has yet to begin, I am still working my job until next week and then I'm retiring from the business world for good or at least from the business world working for other people. After that my Sis is gettin married and then i got a trip with my mom for a couple weeks and then the rest is the beginning of things to come. So for the mean time, since I have a blog and all I figured I'd take some time to fill it up with the mundane-ities of everyday living, some of which is pretty cool and actually the real mundane-ities have not been captured on film and are not, by common practice, reported in the following texts.
The Knifing rails!
Just this last weekend I got the awesome privilege again to teach my other good friend how to shape his first board and fiberglass it. We got it done in 2 days which is the fastest turn around time in my shop so far! He was pretty darn excited!
Checkin out the finished product in all her Majesty. I don't make a habit of turning out thruster shortboards in my shop but i have to say this one came out pretty rad! A speed missile for sure!
This good man is Steve (also a very very good friend of mine), in only 18 days he will be marrying my sister and becoming part of this ridiculously and ludicrously awesome family! If you know this Dude personally then tell him how awesome he is and how proud of him you are. Marriage is no easy walk in the park and i myself am about as far away from it as anyone can be but the respect for the situation is definitely creeping into my soul man! Keep it groovin steve! And for all of you people out there that are sort of, kind of, maybe even a little bit following this blog then you should post some comments or feelings or whatever you damn well please, because this is a blog darn it! I can't just keep talkin to myself. Any how, that's it for today. There will surely be more in the days to come.

Last night's colorful brilliance displayed across the canvas of sky. Been waiting for some good cloud cover to open up the sunset potential and last night it was happening! I can only imagine what it must look like in other states with wide rolling plains meeting the horizon. The transitions of time were only minutes for it to go from white to yellow to gold to orange to deep orange to pink and then violet.

Resin Super Madness! Totally unrelated to traveling, but since i have a few weeks still before the departure I figured i'd go ahead and populate the blog with a few random things here and there. This bad boy I just did last night. I have been building surfboards for about a year and a half and have been able to come up with some pretty cool designs and some pretty interesting color schemes for that matter! It's life's purpose to follow your heart in what ever it feels to be the truth for your life, so get out there and do what makes you come alive!

Ok so obviously there are no members yet, so frankly i am talking to myself but I am practicing my blogging skills for when there are members! Anyways, i took this shot while running errands at work today. Every time i walk by this church and the couple others in the close vicinity i am taken back a bit by the ornateness and often wonder why anyone bothers building anything "modern" that just becomes UN-modern in a year or less! Another thing while on the errands walk today that i couldn't photograph was this putrid dead smell hanging around the upper downtown area most likely emanating from "something" a bit larger, I walked past about 5 different people that could all be seen checking the bottoms of there shoes for dog poo... It was pretty amusing.
